Luxury home finished with a Brava composite cedar shake roof
Brava Roof Tile

Brava Roof Tile, installed by an authorized Maine contractor.

True-to-life cedar shake, slate, and barrel tile profiles with deep color, durable composite construction, and a 50-year limited warranty.

Why Brava

Natural character without natural-material compromise.

Brava gives a roof the depth and variation that make cedar shake and slate special, without the rot, splitting, weight, or continual maintenance that comes with the originals. Its tiles are made with recycled material and use mineral-infused color throughout the product.

Pine & Gable installs the complete system to Brava specifications, from the deck and ice protection through tile layout, flashing, hips, and ridges.

  • Class 4 impact-rated composite tile
  • Class A fire-rated assemblies available
  • Extended, transferable 50-year limited warranty
  • Made with recycled material and fully recyclable
  • Color and texture run through the tile
  • Lighter than natural slate or clay tile

Colors

Multi-tone blends, chosen against your home.

Brava’s multi-color process creates natural tile-to-tile variation, so a finished roof reads like weathered cedar or quarried slate rather than a single flat color. Each profile has its own blends, and Old World Slate also offers custom colors. We bring physical samples to compare against your siding, trim, and stone.

Warranty & ratings

Class 4 impact. 50-year limited warranty.

Brava tiles carry a Class 4 impact rating, the highest UL 2218 classification, and Class A fire-rated assemblies are available. Brava offers an extended, transferable 50-year limited warranty; we confirm eligibility and handle registration at handoff. Class 4 roofs may qualify for insurance consideration depending on your carrier.

Installed correctly

The product is premium. The assembly has to match.

A Brava roof starts with a full deck inspection, Maine-appropriate ice and water protection, and careful flashing. We then follow the selected profile’s exposure, fastener, stagger, hip, and ridge requirements so the finished roof looks intentional and preserves its warranty eligibility.

Frequently asked

Brava roofing questions

What Brava roofing profiles do you install?
We install Brava Cedar Shake, Old World Slate, and Spanish Barrel Tile. Cedar Shake and Old World Slate are the most natural fits for coastal capes, shingle-style homes, and historic architecture in Southern Maine.
Is Brava roofing suitable for Maine winters?
Yes. Brava composite tile does not absorb water like natural wood, is Class 4 impact rated, and is designed for demanding climates. We pair it with a Maine-ready ice-and-water and ventilation assembly.
Does Brava look like real cedar or slate?
Brava tiles are molded for the texture and depth of natural materials. Its multi-color process creates variation from tile to tile, so the finished roof has the shadow lines and irregular character people expect from cedar or slate.
How long is the Brava warranty?
Brava offers an extended, transferable 50-year limited warranty. Product eligibility, registration, and coverage terms are confirmed for your selected system before installation.
Can I see colors and samples before choosing?
Yes. We bring physical samples to your consultation so you can compare profiles and color blends against your siding, trim, stonework, and the surrounding landscape.
