The barrel-tile profile
Rounded, interlocking tiles create strong highlights and shadows that change throughout the day. The profile needs enough visible roof area—and the right roof geometry—to do its job visually.
Brava Spanish Barrel Tile
Spanish Barrel Tile is a distinctive architectural choice—not a universal one. It is strongest on Mediterranean, Spanish Revival, European-influenced, and other homes whose rooflines were designed for rounded tile.
Brava recreates that form without the weight, fragility, and shipping breakage associated with clay. We assess the structure and architecture first, then help select a blend that feels intentional rather than imported onto the house.

Traditional clay and concrete tile can require added structural support and is vulnerable to breakage during shipping and installation. Brava's lighter composite construction simplifies handling and can reduce those structural demands, subject to inspection of the existing roof.
The profile carries a Class 4 impact rating, is rated for wind resistance up to 110 mph, and is offered in Class A and Class C fire-rated assemblies. The exact performance depends on following the specified full-roof assembly.
Terracotta is only one direction; blended earth tones and weathered colors can soften the roof and connect it to masonry and trim. We install the required deck, water-management layers, fastening pattern, flashing, and trim details. Brava provides a limited 50-year warranty under its published terms.
